Plan in advance. We recommend reserving travel as soon as you know when and where you want to travel, and how many will be traveling.
Be flexible:
Consider multiple date options (such as any weekend in February).
Consider multiple destination options (such as Disneyland in Orange County, CA, or Disney World in Orlando, FL).
Consider alternative airports (for example, Burbank Airport instead of Los Angeles International Airport).
Agree to split your group across multiple flights if it is ok for some of the group to arrive a few hours before or after the rest.
Travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays. These are the best days of the week to find group travel discounts.
Choose destinations with many flights per day.
Estimate your group size appropriately. If you only need 20 tickets, don't request 40. Bigger isn't always better.
Avoid the most popular travel dates (Thanksgiving, winter holidays, national holidays, and school breaks). Group reservations may be available during these peak times, but discounts typically are not. Check this year's holiday calendar:

.
Be aware of high and low seasons for your preferred destination. Fares are generally less in the low season. In addition, some destinations have a "shoulder" season between the high and low seasons, when attractive prices may be available.
